1985
Years after a career in the Data Processing industry with Anderson Clayton and Otis Engineering, Jim Lewis and Bill Simpson switched from the customer to the vendor of used mainframe hardware and peripherals and in 1985 Pegasus Computer Marketing was created.
Early 1996
In the late 1990's, it was evident that the IT and data processing mainframe needs were diminishing and more compact and reliable server and user equipment was rapidly taking hold. Pegasus ventured outside of the mainframe sales and repair and began selling and repairing Point of Sale terminals and peripherals for several large retailers.
Late 1996
Soon it was determined that the POS family would require the ability to sell and repair barcode equipment which soon included not just retail, but warehousing and inventory hardware from handheld mobile computer to forklift vehicle mounted computers.
2004
Once again, in 2004, Pegasus was approached about handling Kronos time clock equipment and thus a new department was established in the sell and repair of Kronos hardware.
2018
32 years later, Pegasus Computer Marketing is still going strong due to our dedicated employees, still doing repairs and maintenance for those same retailers that trusted us since day 1, but many more major retailers have jumped on board as well as 3rd party vendors who sell hardware but need a quality and reliable repair center.
2021
In 2020, we all suffered Covid together and at Pegasus, our dedicated employees stuck together to make sure we could still fulfill our customers needs all the while maintaining a safe work environment for all and being sure to protect our customers equipment from spreading the disease. As we look forward to 2021 summer and into the 2022 season, we pray for all those affected and rest assured the Pegasus staff are here to help and as we all try to rebuild...
2022
As we enter the halfway mark of 2022, Pegasus Computer has acquired 2 new technicians to accommodate the strategy by most successful companies, do not burn money on new equipment when the older can be maintained by a quality company with a family oriented atmosphere, customer first and the level of service to their customers is not affected negatively. As we continue on into the rest of 2022 and look forward to 2023, Pegasus is positioned to handle any amount of repairs that you may have a need for
2024
Pegasus is now in it's 39th year of quality service and products. We have acquired 2 more new techs with board level experience and 2 new office staff to help speed up order processing and customer service!
