Years after a career in the Data Processing industry with Anderson Clayton and Otis Engineering, Jim Lewis and Bill Simpson switched from the customer to the vendor of used mainframe hardware and peripherals and in 1986 Pegasus Computer Marketing was created.
In the late 1990’s, it was evident that the IT and data processing mainframe needs were diminishing and more compact and reliable server and user equipment was rapidly taking hold. Pegasus ventured outside of the mainframe sales and repair and began selling and repairing Point of Sale terminals and peripherals for several large retailers.
Soon it was determined that the POS family would require the ability to sell and repair barcode equipment which soon included not just retail, but warehousing and inventory hardware from handheld mobile computer to forklift vehicle mounted computers.
Once again, in 2004, Pegasus was approached about handling Kronos time clock equipment and thus a new department was established in the sell and repair of Kronos hardware.
29 years later, Pegasus Computer Marketing is still going strong due to our dedicated employees, still doing repairs and maintenance for those same retailers that trusted us since day 1, but many more major retailers have jumped on board as well as 3rd party vendors who sell hardware but need a quality and reliable repair center.

Pegasus is located in a 7500 square foot facility in Forney Texas just east of Dallas. We provide depot maintenance, flat rate repair, Sales and Buy outs, in addition we can handle your removal of old outdated hardware usually at more than just a destruction, but reselling and providing a return on your investment instead of just throwing away. This allows us to keep all our of technical and sales staff at our location and eliminating the need for subcontracting remote support that may be outside of our control and below our standards.
Our Sales staff is in daily contact with numerous brokers and resellers worldwide concerning prices and availability on POS hardware, Barcode equipment, Kronos and other Time Clock manufacturers, network hardware, servers and most any computer hardware needs. Pegasus personnel stays current on price and availability of hardware in use by our customers as well as current trends in the market.
All hardware sold or repaired by Pegasus is fully tested, refurbished and foam packed for shipment at our facility by our staff insuring total quality control and allowing us to respond to emergency requests from customers without having to depend on an outside source.
Pegasus’ management meets every morning with sales and maintenance personnel to review requirements and problems. Sales and maintenance reports are reviewed and any problem areas are flagged for immediate attention. Pegasus does everything in our power to foresee problems before they become major issues causing downtime.
